Philosophy & Purpose

New Life Biblical Seminary is a graduate and post graduate school of theology of charismatic-Pentecostal persuasion. At the same it recognizes the inter-denominational character of the catholic church.

NLBS community recognizes that everyone is elected for participating in God’s mission as the Bible acknowledges (Psalms 108:3; Romans 1:14-16). Therefore, the focus of our mission is stated in a short dictum: Mission with a Vision.

NLBS envisions the mission of the church both inside and outside with a holistic outlook. This mission is seen in a multi-dimensional way which recognizes the importance of the four-fold functions of the church such as: fellowship, teaching, witnessing and serving. These are incorporated in the statement: Mission with a Vision. The curriculum of the NLBS reflects this vision, which is moulding men and women in the pattern of Christ.

Purpose of the NLBS is to provide:

  • Systematic theological education with ecclesiastical and societal dimension.
  • It proposes to train students with a holistic aspect.
  • It intends to train Christ-like servant leaders.
  • It aims to sharpen the skills for theological training and wider mission of the church for a transformed society.
  • To mould theologically trained ministers and leaders for the church.

      • Qualitative academic excellence.
      • Well-disciplined life and ministerial formation.
      • Facilitating the students for Christian service.
      • Inculcate Christian values for a better social and moral life.
      • Enable the students to stand for the truth of the gospel.
      • Equipping the students with practical training.
      • To serve the nation as responsible citizens.
      • Ethically and socially sensitive and ecologically responsible.
